Policy Of Truth With Jordan Kensely
Ladies and Doberman on this prodigious episode of KITR we were lucky enough to interview the beautifully fierce Jordan Kensley. Jordan shared stories from across the pole dance and goes deep in the history of the art of er*tic dance. Jordan is also a warrior educating SW communities about how shadowbanning is profoundly affecting many lives: and she also highlights whom to follow to learn more and get involved with the fight for SW's rights.
Jordan Kensley is a California-based pole dancer and instructor. She discovered pole dancing from a Youtube video in the summer of 2012 and, with no prior movement experience, decided then and there that she needed to be able to “do that”. After moving to Los Angeles she discovered her first pole dancing home, BeSpun, and was soon in any class she could break into. From that first spark of interest, her passion for pole dancing has grown ever since, fed every time she enters a studio.
Since starting her training, she has become a resident instructor at the world famous studios: Aeriform Arts, BeSpunLA, Cleo's Rock'n'Pole, and The Vertitude. She has also taken and passed many movement-based teacher certifications, and believes in the importance of continuing her personal education to better the experience and learning curve for her students.
Jordan is certified Structural Integration and has opened Head To Heel, her own body+movement business, in Los Angeles to help better align her clients body within gravity. She also includes this bodywork as an option while she is on tour so that she bring balance and help relieve pain for dancers all over the world. Jordan uses her movement background to expand that her Structural Integration practice, and uses her biomechanics knowledge gained from Structural Integration to better inform her students of how their body works in their own movement.
Jordan Kensley continues to learn about the body and movement and Jordan has become a powerful presence in the pole world by competing, performing and teaching all over the world. She strives to embody the athlete, the artist, and the goddess in every dance. Jordan’s goal as an instructor is to help her students realize those same qualities in themselves, while injecting easy-to-understand biomechanics into her instructions so her students have the knowledge to excel after her workshops. Structural Integration and Pole Dancing has allowed her to appreciate the body and mind in movement, especially in the form of free styling and performance ability, and this understanding has forged her signature sexy dynamic style with her compassionate and knowledgable teaching style. She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm with her friends and students. She has met so many inspiring people within this community and is looking forward to meeting many more in the years to come.
